I am a native of Salisbury, MD and a graduate of James M. Bennett Sr. High (Class of 73). I graduated from Salisbury State College in 1977 and the University Of Maryland in 1993. After SSC, I enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Russian Linguist and met my husband, Ed, at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA. We were married at Goodfellow AFB on October 27, 1978. A 20 year career (12 active duty and 8 reserve) included tours of duty in Berlin, Germany; San Angelo, Texas; Washington, DC; Ft Meade, Maryland, and our final tour back where it all began at Monterey, CA. I retired as a Master Sergeant in 1998. I recently retired after 19 years as a 6th grade Special Education Teacher at Tyro Middle School.
